Georgi morton  Instructor

GEORGI MORTON

Georgi learnt to sail age 8 at Sutton Bingham Reservoir, Somerset, before cracking into racing with the Junior Development Programme Topper Squad in the 2008/09 season. A year later her passion for teaching came through and she started working as an Assistant Instructor at her local club in Somerset. In 2014 she decided that she preferred a more unpredictable, tidal body of water, and qualified as a RYA Dinghy Instructor in Salcombe, before spending the next two summers teaching on the Isles of Scilly.

Georgi is now returning to Loe Beach for second summer in a row. She is a competent and keen Laser racer, but she’ll happily sail anything she can get her hands on!
Her love of getting out on the water isn’t just limited to sailing single-handers - with her RYA Competent Crew she enjoys yacht cruising, and will take her Day Skipper in the near future. When the chance arises, Georgi also relishes the suspense and action of yacht racing; a crash is somewhat more costly on these than on dinghies! She regularly goes surfing, kayaking and windsurfing, and is looking forward to adding kitesurfing to her list of watersports in the near future.

Equally cool off the water as on it, you can regularly find Georgi tearing round the county in her Morris Minor, which of course has a a Loe Beach Watersports sticker in the window.

NANCY BARNETT  Instructor

NANCY BARNETT

Ahoy there!! My name is Nancy Barnett. The water is the place I love to be, I am an Instructor of RYA Sailing, RYA Windsurfing, BSUPA Paddle boarding and also dabbled in a splash of yachting. I have been on many of adventures over the past 8 years teaching these fine sports in the lands of Greece, Turkey, Egypt, and Kenya at various idyllic locations with the fine company; Neilson Active Holidays.

Look forward to seeing you all on the water!

BETH ATHERTON

Instructor

BETH ATHERTON

Beth has been working as a watersports instructor for 4 years and has travelled quite well with her qualifications. Her passion for watersports all started when she began a foundation degree in Outdoor Education (which unfortunately for him, Martyn Bawden was her Sailing lecturer). Beth is now a qualified senior sailing instructor and intermediate windsurf instructor and has taught in Spain, France, Croatia and of course Cornwall. She has an abundance of enthusiasm and energy whilst teaching and brings a little ray of sunshine wherever she goes.
