LEARN TO SAIL ON THE CARRICK ROADS,
The Carrick Roads and Falmouth are arguably some of the best waters for learning to sail in the world. Our sheltered, yet coastal environment offers perfect sailing conditions for beginners and those more experienced.
Whether you want to learn to sail as a complete novice or further your sailing skills with an intermediate sailing course, as an RYA Training Centre we offer courses from the National Sailing Scheme for children and adults.
With our brand new fleet of modern boats as well as our more traditional craft, we can take you from complete beginner to experienced sailor - all within the idyllic surroundings of the south coast of Cornwall. We can deliver short taster sessions and clinics through to full week long courses if you fancy a learn to sail holiday.
If you don’t want to try one of our courses, how about a Sailing Cruise instead? You could sail away for the day in the capable hands of one of our RYA Instructors and just take in the idyllic scenery, perhaps seeing some local wildlife. You could then find a 'secret' beach and drop anchor for a picnic, or visit one of the local waterside pubs for lunch. If you’ve just purchased a new boat, getting to grips with it can seem daunting at first. Our experienced instructors can also guide you through, with our ‘Own-Boat Tuition’ service.
Sailing for beginners, improvers, refreshers and taster sailing lessons
We offer sailing for beginners, taster sessions and improver lessons for all ages and all abilities. It might be your first time in a boat and you just want to see what all the fuss is about. Or you might be an old hand who just fancies trying out our asymmetric spinnakers or perfecting your roll gybe! Whatever your needs, our range of boats means we can take you out individually, as a family or with a group of friends. Your qualified instructor can also tailor the session to suit you, if you wish.
As an RYA Training Centre we offer the full Youth RYA National Sailing Scheme Stage 1- 4. Our Instructors are all qualified by the relevant National Governing Bodies, as well as holding current first aid certificates and being CRB checked.
They are used to working with children of varying ages and abilities.
